- Music software -
- Cakewalk Pro Audio 6.0 by Twelve Tone Systems, inc.
- One of the best Midi sequencers in the world. Often used in Professional Studios.
This is my favourite. I guess there is a newer version right now, but I haven't
been able to test it yet. For Windows 95.
- Cubase Score VST 3.5 by Steinberg
- Also a highly recommended Midi sequencer. I'm not too fond of it it, but I guess that's because
I'm used to Cakewalk. Cubase has perhaps a better audio support compared to Cakewalk. For Windows 95.
- ReBirth 338 by Propellerhead Software
- Excellent 303 synth emulator. According to the manual, it's easy to combine ReBirth with Cubase, because
Steinberg helped publish this program. For Windows 95.
- Cool Edit Pro v1.0 by Syntrillium Software Corporation
- Probably the best audio file editor! Great noise reduction abilities.
The only thing missing is digital sampling. Digital CD sampling is a "must". For Windows 95.
- Fast Tracker II (v2.08) by Triton Productions
- One of the best trackers in the world. I just love it! For DOS, supports most major sound cards.
- Cubic Player 1.7 by Pascal
- Simply the best player there is. It plays almost any format (except IT). For DOS, supports most major sound cards.
- Impulse Tracker 2.14 by Jeffrey Lim
- A "different" tracker. - Looks like the old Scream Tracker but it's
loaded with new features. For DOS, supports most? major sound cards.
) Most major sound cards includes, the Sound Blaster series,
Gravis Ultrasound or compatibles. Other sound cards
might be supported too, but if you have a SB or GUS compatible sound card, you should feel confident that these programs works.
